Noelle's Second Birthday and Return Home!

"So teach us to number our days, . . . Psalm 90:12"
Early this month, my mother and I were able to travel to Greenville, SC for 3 days in order to attend Noelle's second birthday party--a tea party! Amy borrowed the tiny tea cups that my mother had purchased from Continental China when she visited South Africa in 1989. All the little girls and boys enjoyed the miniature cups of rooibos tea and all the little "eats" that Amy made for them to enjoy. The larger cups were for each child's take-home treat. After the healthier "eats" were enjoyed, Noelle blew out two candles on the little pink cupcakes. Our four year old grandson, Jake, who recently got his first spectacles, and his friend enjoyed watching Noelle open her gifts. My mother had some special moments with the blossoming young Isaiah who is daily delighting his family with new developments. The health issues of my mom which brought me to the States gave both of us the privilege of enjoying some milestones with these grandchildren that we would have otherwise missed altogether. This week when the sitters that I had arranged fell through at the last moment, the Lord wonderfully provided for my mother to have temporary placement in an assisted living facility. Today while visitng Mama, I packed my suitcase almost completely with nothing besides knitted caps, crosses, Christmas stockings, children's toys and hand towels that we were given to us for use in our ministry. Through a yard sale that I held for my mother on 9 January, I "happened" to make contact with someone who organized her friends to provide all these items!

Tonight, I am writing from a hotel 1 mile from the Raleigh-Durham airport. Lord willing, my next post will be from South Africa. Pray that God will bless my trip and the reunion with Tony and continue to guide our steps. We are numbering the HOURS!!

Yay! I'm so happy the Lord has worked out everything and you finally get to go home! That's so awesome about that "chance" meeting. Your grandkids are entirely too cute. :-)
Love from your adopted niece!
