New Converts and New Contacts

"Behold, a sower went forth to sow. . . . Matthew 13:3"

This month Eindhoven Baptiste Kerk in Delft began holding a midweek prayer meeting. We meet at the Jeremy and June's home and we are already faced with a problem for space. We have averaged 20 in attendance during these first 4 prayer meetings, which is slightly MORE than the attendance on Sunday mornings!

Last week at prayer meeting we had four first time adult visitors! All four are new contacts from November's visitation efforts. After Tony and Jason first met Oswald and Conita, they allowed Tony and Jason to begin teaching them lessons on salvation in their home on Monday nights. We were thrilled when they both attended our prayer meeting last week. Oswald (above, looking up at Tony, with Conita to his left; unfortunately Tony is hiding her face) requested prayer for his drug problem. Louise(wearing pink crocheted hat) and Rosina, (on Oswald's right) whom Tony and Jeremy witnessed the previous Sunday afternoon, also attended this prayer meeting. Rosina's daughter, Rozana, is an "angel" in the upcoming Christmas program that the Bible club is busy practicing for.

At program practice, Mickayla is in the front row in a denim dress and Sandy is in middle of second row in striped top. These two faithful girls will not be allowed to participate in the program on December 6. Their mother insists that they attend "their" church, the New Apostolic Church, even though she doesn't attend. Yesterday, Gavin (left on second row) attended our morning service for the first time. His son, Shadlee, (seated in front of his dad), is a "shepherd" in the Christmas program.

We rejoice in the salvation of Duke (on left)at the Northpine church. Early in November, he attended his first service at Calvary with an apartment mate. Cedric and Tony visited him that next week and the next Sunday, he asked Christ to save him. Nwabisa shared with me after the service on the 15th that she'd asked Christ into her heart at the close of the message from Matthew 7 on the broad and narrow ways.

Often I have the opportunity to "mother" some little girls during the message at Northpine. Yanda often cries when she has to say goodbye and get into her parents' car to go home! On the 22nd, Lungile and Thembi dedicated themselves to raise Yanda for the Lord. Chloe is my other "little daughter," whom I enjoy caring for during services. She also often comes with her dad to visit me during his mentoring class.

Pray for the most recent new converts to be faithful to the discipleship class that Cedric is leading so that they can become well-grounded in the Truth. It meets at their home on Friday evenings.
