At the morning service on 11 July, we had 7 adult visitors. Five of these visitors were parents who came to hear their children sing. Before the message, while holding the flags they made during the week of Bible club, the children sang the gospel version of the national anthem which we'd taught them. Tony preached about our being spiritually bankrupt before God from Matthew 5:3 for the 42 in attendance that day.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup championship game was played on 11 July. We departed from the train station in Kuilsriver traveled to Cape Town in order to take advantage of the opportunity to distribute more Gospels of John and Romans to some of the crowd of over 20,000 who gathered in Cape Town at the Fan Fest and other venues to view the game on big screens. In Cape Town and on the train
we had good opportunities for sharing the gospel and the Gospels. Fifteen believers from 3 of the churches distributed at least 1800 gospels that afternoon.

Bybelklub and Last Soccer World Cup Outreach
" . . . my word . . . shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11"
We anticipated a larger group, but the 25 children who came were a very good group and since we only had a small classroom, it was a perfect number. We taught the gospel each day by covering the pages of the Wordless Book.
Jason, Loren, Brandon and Renate were great helpers.
The Lord gave us good weather all week, so each day we could enjoy team games during the last half hour.
The children had never heard of a sack race and tt was a riot to watch them falling and rolling around as they tried to get up again while inside a sack!
In addition to various sack races, we also had a "newpaper snowball" fight, a bucket toss competion, and various rounds of "Simon Says."
With the help of several young people, all the clipping and cutting and colouring for the prepartion of visuals, songs and name tags was accomplished before the 4 day Bybelklub began on July 6. (Below, Loren is preparing name tags with me a few days before the club began.)
On Wednesday, at the close of the lesson on Christ's death, six children indicated that they need to be saved.
Since then one of them shared that she has given their heart to the Lord. Pray for us as we follow up and disciple these children. One young person that I asked to "help" in the club is actually unsaved. Mgoduse helped with games and keeping order, but mostly importantly he was able to hear and "see" the gospel visualized each day. We believe he is near to trusting Christ. Today Tony had the opportunity to talk to him and Bradley after the service at the men's Bible study.
