"But if we walk in the light, . . . we have fellowship one with another. . . I John 1:7"
(This post was in the draft box and I failed to publish it when it was prepared on June 28. I apologize!)
The messages at the GFA Family Conference that ended on June 2 were a great encouragement to our souls. The fellowship with fellow GFA'ers was rich.
Tony and Alan Patterson, both North Carolina boys, enjoyed catching up about the work in South Africa. Two years ago, Alan ministered at our leadership camp in South Africa and like everyone else who has visited there, he would love to come again!
Our display table at the conference highlights the work that God has been doing and that we have been privileged to have a part in since 1988. July 7th marked 24 years since we arrived in Cape Town!!!
I had the privilege of teaching 4 and 5 year old's at Central Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School from June 18 to 22. It was a joy to serve at Central Baptist Church who has been supporting us since 1987!
Art is not my thing, but I would try anything for this sweet little Landon!!
In June, the Lord brought me this lovely young lady to mentor while she is in the USA on a visit. Peggy came to know the Lord about 10 years ago while in studying in a university to become a teacher. We meet once a week for a 30 minute lesson which becomes 2 1/2 to 3 hours due to the language barrier. Peggy completes the lesson at home in Chinese and then comes to me for with her questions. How I wish I could speak her mother-tongue!!
One of the joys of being here in our home town is getting time with family members. We had a blessed evening with Tony's Uncle Charles and Aunt Laura the week before Tony left for South Africa on July 3.
