" . . . teach the young women . . . .Titus 2:4
The ladies of the Strand invited me to teach them the lesson, "Clothed with Strength." They braved a rainy wintry evening on April 29 to study God's Word together.
I have had an ongoing ministry of encouraging a young believer, Tina, over the past 8 years. Her daughters,Astle and Ijoema, are also young women I seek to influence for the kingdom.
On May 2, we had a wonderful opportunity at Tauriq and Aneesa to encourage them on the eve of national elections while hearing all kinds of political promises being made over megaphones in the street to heed Christ's promise for rest for their souls. He keeps the promises He makes!A number of the ladies from the retreat gathered at Caren's on May 3 for a farewell tea in my honour. What a joy to know and love the ladies.
Tony and Russel and Jeremy share fellowship . . .
. . . while I greet Lillian and Elizabeth before leaving for the airport. We continue to pray for Elizabeth's conversion.
At the airport, Jeremy and June joined us for a cup of coffee at Wimpy's before my having to say goodbye. Good bye is easier in Afrikaans. It is "tot siens" which means "until we see." Believers never really say goodbye, only "tot siens!" Tony remained behind for another 6 weeks of teaching in Oostenberg Bybel Instituut and preaching each week.
