Cathy's Ministry with Tony over 7 weeks

". . .love as brethren, .  .  .  I Peter 3:8"
It was a joy to be reunited with Tony when I returned to South Africa in March for a 7 week stay. The messages from I Peter at Eindhoven Baptiste Kerk were profitable for all.
Our national leaders, Jason and  .  .  .
.  .  .  Jeremy, are very zealous and faithful.
Once a month, we gathered with several other churches for a joint evening service. Fellowship for all these believers of these small national churches is so important.
Dwight, the youngest convert, was baptized at the joint service before I returned.  He is pictured here with a work colleague.
The young ladies, seen on the back road here, remain after the morning services for a class with me. I took two weeks to teach through the new tract, "God se Brug na die Lewe." Pray for the Lord to draw these girls to Himself.
Shortly after I returned, one of our dates was for special coffee at the company where we order our ground coffee.
On Good Friday the Simpsons brought the delicious curried pickled fish to share with us and Emily and Ethan.  While Ethan was a bit skeptical at the sound of cold, "pickled" fish, one taste sold him!
On Easter, the church family came for a braai after the morning service.
The young adults enjoyed gathering here for their fellowship and Bible study in April.
Our men from Eindhoven Baptiste Kerk meet with Tony every alternate Sunday afternoon for a class on hermeneutics. They are honing their skills in sermon preparation.
Several young adults who regularly attend our services have not yet trusted Christ. Pray for Jaime, Bradley and Chevonne.
Elizabeth, a regular attender for several years (in the front) and I spent a morning together in her home and she taught me to make authentic Cape breyani.  It was great!  Ask the Lord to open Elizabeth's heart to the gospel the way she opens her home to me.
Lydia organized a multi-church Mothers Day Tea on May 2.  She asked me to bring a lesson.
I spoke on "Troubles and Tight Places Can Become Joy Robbers" from II Corinthians 4:7.
We had a lovely variety of savory and sweet eats.
The event was enjoyed by all these ladies.
"Cookie" wanted her picture taken with her former pastor's wife, me, and her present pastor's wife, Lydia.  Seven weeks passed very quickly. On May 5, I arrived back in SC in order to care for details for my mother in the facility where Mama was placed in February for rehab following pneumonia.
