Sprinkler, Flyers, Church Anniversary and Gospels of John

" . . . by all means save some . . . . II Corinthians 9:2

During a recent heat wave, these five Sunday school girls enjoyed playing under the sprinkler one afternoon after they had helped me sweep out our dusty garage. Then we enjoyed having dinner outside. Their visit was finished off with Bible reading and singing. Tony admonished these girls from Matthew 25:1-13 not to be the 5 foolish virgins. Only one of these girls has ever indicated that she has prayed to be saved, but they are all very faithful to all our services and participate enthusiastically. Pray for Tammy, Sharlize, Miche, Treslyn and Amber (from left to right).
The men held their monthly gathering at our home after a morning of distributing flyers in Eindhoven. They personally greeted and gave invitations out at almost 250 homes. They enjoyed their lunch of sandwiches cooked on the grill. After the challenge and time of prayer, they had a time of healthy competion through a few rounds of croquet.
The next day, Eindhoven Baptiste Kerk celebrated its first anniversary. We were thankful to have 34 in attendance with 7 first time visitors. Pray for God to draw to Himself some of these lost young adults: Ruzaine, Sherry-Lee, Bradley, Dahl, Frances, and Ngoduse. Suster Sophia (in orange on the left) visited for the first time and indicated she wants to begin attending regularly.
Three parents of Sunday School children returned after an absence of several weeks.
Each week after visiting door-to-door, Jason and Tony spend an hour or so studying together. After a morning in the sun, heat and wind, they meet in the car and are more than ready to enjoy some sandwiches and coffee before beginning their lesson. Sometimes, Brother Leon is able to join them, so he was able to snap this photo of Jason and Tony.

If Tony looked hot and tired when this photo was taken last Friday, it is because he and 14 others (missionaries and nationals) worked hard unloading a container together with over 400,000 Gospels of John and Romans to distribute during the 2010 FIFAWorld Cup, which South Africa is hosting during June and July. The boxes in this photo hold over 9000 which our people will put into the hands of many visiting and local soccer fans.
