Annoyances, Activity and A Pirate Party

"In everything give thanks . . . Philippians 4:6"

In the two years that we have been meeting at Eindhoven Primere Skool for our services, we have regularly endured two great annoyances. One is the trash that we continually clean up.
The second annoyance is the noise from the large church that meets in the hall (assembly room). On Mothers' Day we were not able to meet in our usual room, so we had to meet right next to the loud group. It was a challenge for all to hear the message Tony brought from Proverbs 31. Fortunately for me, it was quieter by the time I taught the children.
Bradley attended his first youth meeting on Friday night. In one of the games, he got wet . . .
. . . when the girls used water pistols to extinguish the guys' candles!
He certainly enjoyed the opportunity to help Brandon put out Tammy's candle!
There were lots of laughs . . . and the newcomer, Brian, really the game.
And did anyone ask if Pastor enjoyed the evening???
No evening is complete without food! The boerewors rolle (farm sausage rolls) were fantastic!
For some was it their first experience to roast marshmallows.
The evening ended with a lesson from Proverbs 5 on the dangers of sexual sins. Pray for these young people who face temptations in every realm, but especially in the area of purity.

A couple of weeks ago, Tony got a phone call from two-year-old, Micah, who invited us to his birthday party. Micah and "Pah-tor Tony" are good buddies!
Six-year-old, Azura, crawled in my lap and told me that she had been wanting to see us!
Nine-year-old, J.P., gave us a real pirates welcome. We enjoyed 3 hours of pirate games and activities with all the little friends and Cedric's delicious potjiekos (stew made in 3 legged pot)!
While all the little pirates were making their hats, Tony got the crown which had been used in the play that J.P. and Lydia acted in and crowned me: "His Queen!" Moments like that are golden. I am happy to belong to him!
