Mothers' Tea and Charter Service

"I will build My church . . . Matthew 16:18"

Our ladies gathered on 30 April for the Mothers' Tea--a time of fellowship, games . . .
a challenge from the Word . . .
and tea. Although several guests who were invited were not able to come. But all who came thoroughly enjoyed it.
The next day, 1 May, Eindhoven Baptiste Kerk held its charter service. After the morning service here at the classroom that the church rents in Eindhoven, . . .
The men and teen boys had their class at Jeremy's home, while Jason taught these 14 children in our Sunday School.
Three new learners, Labika, Waradia and Fatima are indicated in the photo below. They live across the road from the room we rent at the school. We hope to meet their families soon.
While the men grilled about 100 pieces of chicken, . . .
the young people enjoyed some indoor games as well as outdoor games.
Relays are always popular and give all an opportunity to participate.
After the meal, which included 7 different salads and chicken, we held our charter service. Five of the men read the five paragraphs of the covenant and afterwards, nine adults covenanted together to form this new church.
There were 34 in attendance at the charter service.
We were thankful that several who have been visiting regularly during 2011, were with us for all the activities of the day.
Everyone enjoyed tea and cakes and our teen girls served us by doing the dishes after tea.
The good, but long day was over after 7 pm when the last of the people departed for their homes!
