Whirling through June

". . . renewed day by day . . . II Corinthians 4:16"

June has been whirling past us as we continue with our various ministries and prepare others to take over while we make preparations for a 12 week furlough in the USA.

On June 1, I had the opportunity to take Liz, Emily's best friend, to the American Embassy and later that day I got to visit her work place where she serves children in foster care.
In June we completed the series of purity classes at the primary school.
We had 4 well-behaved classes of 11-12 year old children during our 5 weeks of teaching on Thursdays.
Pray that God will save some of these young people and preserve them from sexual sins.
On Youth Day, June 16, we held a day-long purity seminar for the youth of three churches. Jason and Brandon did the majority of the teaching.
It was very effective to hear 18 and 22 year old young men share why they want to remain pure
Maintaining purity in our culture can only be done in the power of the Holy Spirit and with the Lord's enabling grace.
We taught them that true Biblical love is a challenge that only one Man, the God-man, Jesus Christ, met perfectly.
The challenge games were used to teach them that practicing Biblical love is a standard that was only met 100 % by Christ. We taught them that sex is NOT a game, but God's gift to the husband and wife.
On the 18th, Ralph and Mary Oberlin arrived for a 12-week stay in our home. We have been busy orienting them to life in South Africa.
Pray that the Lord will greatly use them as they serve at Eindhoven Baptiste Kerk in our place from 1 July to 13 September.
