Missionaries--Be One, Send One

"Ye shall be witnesses . . .  unto the uttermost part of the earth.  Acts 1:8"

"Missionaries--Be One, Send One" was the theme of the conference at Old Carriage Road Baptist Church on August 1-3. We thank the Lord for their partnering with us these past 27 years. We were privileged to be a part of their first missions conference along with the Boehms, who are on deputation to Italy . . .
. . . and the Hendersons who are on deputation to Guam.
I spoke at their ladies' Friendship Luncheon on Saturday at this lovely restored log cabin in Red Oak.
Making friends with some of the younger ladies was a delight for me.
Tony preached on Friday and Sunday nights from Acts 1 emphasizing our commission to be witnesses.
The young people of the church's song before the message on Sunday night was excellent.
A highlight of the conference was to introduce rooibos tea to the church family. When we traveled up to the
conference, I packed in my  tea basket complete with miniature cups and saucers, electric kettle, tea pots, teaspoons and sugar dish.
