The opportunities to share with saints traveling through was enjoyed in August. After we returned from a conference that began the month, I enjoyed a good visit with my friend, Ellie, who was in town visiting her sister. Ellie and her husband, David, have visited us twice in South Africa and now, she has visited me twice in South Carolina! We thank God for the good pastors and their wives from our supporting churches who have become true friends!
We also enjoyed having Jeff and Ellie Owens and their daughter, Lydia, for a meal before their return to Papua, New Guinea.
How is it that someone so young senses: "This lady is a Grandmommy!"?
She enjoyed eating on my lap. Grandmommy-laps are the BEST! :-)Tony cared for my mother to allow me a coffee date at Panera with Diantha, a former colleague in nursing and an apartment mate back in 1977-1979. In the years since we last saw one another, God has allowed trials that add a new dimension to our friendship. It is good to bear one another's burdens.
It was a delight to travel to Florida to celebrate Isaiah's third birthday a day early on August 29 at the zoo.
We enjoyed Labor Day weekend with Rob and Amy and their children in Tampa. This picture was taken near sunset at Clearwater. We thank God for His many mercies to our family.
On our return to South Carolina we visited family in Georgia. It was good to see Tony's mom and Tony blessed her by painting her deck in some pretty hot, humid Georgia sunshine!
