Opportunities in October

"Redeem the time . . . . Ephesians 5:16"

One couple who practices this verse are Dave and Claudia Barba whom we had the privilege to meet and share fellowship with in September.  We are praying with them for the Lord's leading.
It was a joy to have long-time friend, Chris Baker, join us for a meal while Sandy was in California visiting her mother in late September. We also got better acquainted with new friends, David and Stephanie Heimann and their children, Isaiah and Jerusha.
During the first week in October, we were very thankful for the visit of our niece, Leslie, and her mother, Pat. Their visit did my mother a world of good. We wish they could have stayed longer
On the 10th, I spoke at the Ladies' Missionary Prayer Group and shared specific ways God had been answering their prayers in South Africa in the past 2 years.
We enjoyed fellowship with friends, Ralph and Ruth Smith, when we attended a revival service at their church on October 17.
Tony removed of the carpets and sub-flooring in the dining area in preparation for the floor work to be done
in November while we travel to PA, GA and for meetings.
Rita and her husband, Jimmy and son, Ryan, came for dinner two days before we left for PA. We were blessed to hear their testimonies of salvation. Rita and I continue to meet for Bible study almost weekly.
In October, we finished up teaching through the Creation week to our K-5 Released Time class.
This photo shows part of the class. Some of the verses these children quoted at our last class were: Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:31, Psalm 33:6 and Romans 3:23.  May God use these truths to bring them to salvation!
